3rd game edition of the original game of the franquise. This game was released on NES, SNES, on the japanese Wii Virtual console and finally on NDS.
Taken from the original game seccion, like the game:
Apart from that, it includes more characters, 6 difficulties, an online mode (altough limited), more chapters, among others things. But in SNES it had a second part that wasn't included in this one; this remake is only the half. It even came out first in Europe and in Spanish, but it wasn't like that for America, despite having 2 months of difference. It's a bit too similar to the original, altough is a good option if you wanna know about Marth's story, for being the origins of a large series with the same style as the original from NES.
It's just that, is a little bit strange, looking how Holy War and Tracia 776 or Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn had histories more well-worked and this one doesn't get more content than the original. Even the officia characters artwors were done by Masamune Shirow, Better known as the author of series like Ghost in the Shell, but in the game they are pseudo 3D desings that aren't similar when the artworks are extremely detailed. something funny is that in the japanese official web there was a note when they were released, that would say "the desingns included in the game are not the same" which was removed a little later.
Altough it has a difficulty adjusted for beginners and for those who like very hard games like before. you may even like it if you haven't played a Fire Emblem before, but when you play others, you will notice that is "limited" for trying to be too similar to a NES game were everything l was more simple, altough it may have its charm for showing how the first game's system gave a start for a long franquise like I said before.
