One of the most well-know in the series.
It added a lot of new features that other Fire Emblem doesn't have. It added a lot of play with personal skills, or that you can let "First generation characters" (first half of the game) to fall in love to get married and have childrens, and those would inherit the skills weapons and stats of their parents for the second half of the game.
Besides features like every character having their own money and weapons, like limiting theirs tradings except for couples, and not between any character, giving a different approach. This game also has a very good music, story and you'll need a good strategy to win.
Although it has very few chapters these are really big, as 10 times bigger than some of the next FE games, like those from FE7 ... and with a lot of enemies. Moreover, in every chapter you have your own castle, is possible to store your items, buy or repair them, fight in an arena. A castle must be protected from the enemy by leaving a character guarding it, or you'll lose. Because you never know when reinforcements could appear. But in a similar way, you must conquer the enemy's castles.
The story has its beginnings in a continent called Jugdral. Is said that in this continent were 12 crusaders or holy warriors, who fought for the continent many years ago, and who then founded the "holy" houses within Grandbell.
Later, in the present time, they are inhabited their direct descendants, and dukes or nobles of great importance. Our story focuses on Grandbell. This Kingdom was led by a series of "counselors", who were led by King Azmule. As a successor to the throne was the Prince Kurth, he chose a group of dukes who would help him to rule. Lord Byron of Chalphy (Sigurd's father), and Lord Ring of Jungby, were part of that group. On the other hand was Lord Arvis, coming from Velthomer and faithful advisor of King Azmule. From the House of Freege was Reptor who was the prime minister in the kingdom at that moment, and Lord Langobalt from the House of Dozel.
However, greed is always in the way, the last two opposed to certain laws and began to commit murders and other outrages, both acting as a team, to take the kingdom at all costs.
After a while it was learned that Grandbell attacked the Kingdom of Isaac, along with it, mercenaries from Verdane Attacked Jungby. These mercenaries were led by Prince Gandolf, eldest son of King Bator of Verdane. This Kingdom of Verdane, who are a barbaric Kingdom mostly composed of pirates and all sort of mercenaries.
However, King Bator
was very peaceful, so it was know in advance that someone could be manipulating his troops.
After starting his attack on Jungby, Gandolf kidnaps a young Princess called Aideen. Sigurd and Aideen were friends since very young, so he didn't wait a second and left in her search. Is here that Sigurd and his troop are on their way to defeat Gandolf, and discover other truths of this continent.
